With temps around the 110 F range in the high desert of Southern California--- running near triple digit speeds, climbing a steep grade-- the fan keeps my 2000 5.9L at 200 F... You won't see it go any higher than that (when it's that hot out, there's only so much ANY radiator will do)... Normal water temps run 180 F, 185F with the fan on in traffic. A recent 100 F indoor temp (inside a shop), with the truck @ idle for over 45 minutes netted 191 F coolant temp with the AC on the entire time. In cooler weather, you'll close the t-stat. All info is based on LO speed only.
